Child Custody Questions & Answers

Q: Are findings of a private investigator admissible in court?
A: Evidence obtained by a licensed private investigator working on your behalf is admissible and useful in court. It is important to understand that all evidence must be legally obtained. In family law/domestic matters, we have often seen clients who are willing to bend the rules and even break the law in order to obtain the desired results. Doing so will only hurt your case, is not admissible in court and may even end up with criminal charges being brought against you. A professional, licensed investigation firm with years of family law and child custody investigations experience will be able to assess your case, lay out an investigative strategy to achieve the necessary results, implement appropriate investigative actions and present it properly to your attorney. When this is done, it is not only admissible in court, but often facilitates resolving the matter out of court. This should always be your primary objective.
