When the security of your business, data, and personnel are at stake, only the best and newest technology will do. HPI is committed to continuous improvement of both skill and technology, deploying equipment by Research Electronics International, Cellebrite, Wolfhound, OSCOR, and other top tier suppliers.
TSCM methods are only as effective as their equipment. That's why HPI invests in the best.

Spectrum Analyzer
The most common TSCM instrument is a spectrum analyzer. This detector finds any and all active, electric signals as well as acoustic and optical signals, which can be classified as known or unknown. Unknown signals will be traced to devices which are then examined, potentially providing clues to identify the owner and the information it has transmitted.
Common Uses
- Offices & Facilities
- Conference Rooms
- Residence

Non-Linear Junction Detector
The Non-Linear Junction Detector (NLJD) detects the presence of electronics, regardless of whether they are utilizing a wireless network (Wi-Fi or cellular), or hard-wired, even if they are powered off.
Common Uses
- Offices & Facilities
- Conference Rooms
- Residence
- Vehicles
- Airplanes
Detects Devices
- Hidden Microphones
- Hidden Cameras

Near-Field Detection Receiver
This device detects known, unknown, illegal, disruptive, or other types of transmissions that may interfere with your network. These signals can be in the form of RF (radio frequency), infrared, visible light, carrier current, or other types of transmitters.
Common Uses
- Offices & Facilities
- Conference Rooms
- Residence
- Vehicles
- Airplanes
Detects Devices
- Hidden Microphones
- Hidden Cameras
Telephone & Line Analyzer
The telephone and line analyzer detects and locates illicit wiretaps or tampering that allow intruders to monitor your communications networks including digital, analog, and VoIP telephone systems.
Common Uses
- Network Communication Systems
- Telephone Systems
- Offices & Facilities
- Conference Rooms
- Residences
Detects Devices
- Phone Systems
- Wiretaps

Thermal Camera
All electrical currents create heat. Thermal cameras can detect increased current and indicate where further inspection may be required. In addition to electrical currents, the thermal camera can detect materials with inconsistent densities, offering clues for finding current or previously planted cameras and listening devices.
Common Uses
- Offices & Facilities
- Conference Rooms
- Residence
- Vehicles
- Airplanes
Detects Devices
- Hidden Microphones
- Hidden Cameras
Borescope & Video Camera Pole
A borescope allows the user to see nearly microscopic detail within devices, around corners, or in extremely small spaces. It can be used to inspect office equipment, control panels, and other electrical devices or machinery without disassembly. Can be used with video camera pole extension for better visibility and detection in spaces that are hard to get to or in smaller, confined spaces.
Common Uses
- Offices & Facilities
- Conference Rooms
- Residence
- Vehicles
- Airplanes
Detects Devices
- Hidden Microphones
- Hidden Cameras
- Inconsistencies in physical structure

Cell Phone & GPS Detection
A listening device or camera may simply be a cell phone. This instrument finds cell phones, GPS and other devices that have a SIM card or other wireless capabilities.
Common Uses
- Offices & Facilities
- Conference Rooms
- Residence
- Vehicles
- Airplanes
Detects Devices
- Cell Phones
